Teresa Williams has 23 years of experience as a seasoned litigator in South Florida’s Courts.

She was born in New York City and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration of Criminal Justice from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Miami.

Teresa entered into the civil arena with the law firm of Haliczer Pettis and Schwamm.  Teresa handled complex construction defect issues, mold exposure, general negligence, and medical malpractice claims, primarily defending civil actions.  Understanding the nuances of civil practice from the defense side significantly helps Teresa formulate the best strategies for representing her civil clients to achieve the best possible result.

Teresa started her own private practice focusing on Criminal Defense, Civil Litigation and Family Law Litigation in March of 2006.  This firm represents clients from St. Lucie County down to Miami-Dade County with our central office located in Broward County, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.  Teresa’s primary goal is to provide superior representation for her clients, without charging the excessive rates that come with the marble and mahogany of most South Florida litigation firms.  She has earned a well deserved reputation as a seasoned and aggressive litigator who fights for her clients, regardless of popular opinion.

Teresa is active in many aspects of the community.  She is the President of the Democratic Women’s Club of West Broward, and is a Precinct Committeewoman in the Democratic Executive Committee.  She is a Board Member of the Broward County Women Lawyer’s Association and is the Chairperson of the Informed Voters Committee.  She is a member of the Broward County Bar Association, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Broward Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Teresa was honored to be appointed as the Chairperson for Florida Bar Grievance Committee A for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit.
